Ode to the Hillbilly

Luckily we haven't yet run into these people in our travels around the U.S. There are places around New Jersey where it sometimes looks and feels like the deep south, but this is the genuine article (it's a large file, and it may take some time to download).

New Jersey in the Fall

I felt inspired to write something this morning about the changes of autumn all around us!! I still am overawed by the incredible beauty of it all and this is our third "fall" here. The leaves on the trees are such amazing colours, the sky is a brilliant blue and we had our first frost this morning!! Plans are underway for our party next weekend, the dog kennel will be transformed into a haunted house - a working party has been set up and much black paint will be purchased. When I say dog kennel what I mean is a six foot high, twelve foot by six foot steel enclosure with a concrete floor with a rotting wooden dog house inside. Attractive eh? Anyway as we can't pull it down, we plan to disguise it, and a Halloween Party is the perfect excuse!! Photos to follow I promise.
