Can't believe it's been so long since my last message, sorry. Anyway Long Beach Island was great fun, we arrived at 4.30 and were all drunk by 6, no seriously, it wasn't that bad but we did have a good time and the kids eventually went to sleep but it was nearly 11 by then!
The next day we went to the beach, walked along the shore, saw the lighthouse, collected shells and got very chilly!! I'm hoping we get to spend some time down there next summer.
Thanksgiving passed quietly. We were going to Lisa & Rob's for dinner but they were struck down by a virus and couldn't face cooking the turkey. Lisa called me at 8.30 on Thanksgiving morning and asked me to collect the turkey, which I did, plus two of the kids who had been ill but were now better. Anyway, turkey in the oven, we went off the see The Cat in the Hat movie. Not that good, I'm afraid, but the kids seemed to enjoy it and we returned home to the smell of a nearly cooked bird!! I prepared the rest of the meal and did "meals on wheels" to the rest of the gang who were by then mostly feeling better and a little bit hungry!!
We rounded off the day with a game of Star Wars monopoly!!
Well, that's it winter is here. I just went out to collect Thomas off the bus and it was snowing!! Just a flurry of flakes - and it didn't last long but it was snow!!
News from the Willimer household is that Chris is in London, for work of course. He is limited to how much time he will have for socialising so if he doesn't get to see you - then I'm sorry!! Mind you there are a couple of trips to Tottenham lined up - oh, and a visit to Tesco to stock up on supplies.
And, no, he didn't take the Christmas cards to post - I haven't made them yet!!
